What is FEC
The Federation
is a European industrial branch committee created in 1952 for Cutlery, Flatware
and Holloware sectors and in 1990 for Cookware sectors, most of the National
Associations and members are involved in both sectors.
The professional
associations or companies are establishd in Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, Finland,
France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden,
Switzerland and United Kingdom.
FEC aims to protect the common
interests of its members in all products. The references are under NACE tariff
position 28.61 and partly under positions 28.62, 28.75, 33.10 and 36.22.
FEC promotes co-operation between members, it gives help on economical
and technical improvements and officially represents the common interests of
its members to the international authorities and particularly to the European
commission in Brussels.
FEC activities
> to answer the members
questions and make their business relationships easier.
> to represent its member Associations to the
international authorities and particularly those from the European commission.
> to organize the biennial Congress.
> to have twice a year Directors'
Committee meeting in which take part the managing directors of each Association
to consider actual and future tasks, common projects and to attend professional
interests protection.
> to have
permanent relationship with the professional press and attend to any other
public relations activities.
